high tunnel covering

[2016 CSA Week 16] [September 21]

The original high tunnel has a new batch of plastic and some new frame work on it. Although it still needs to be tightened up in places, it feels good to be a few more steps ready for winter winds and snow.

We even have our spinach and lettuce transplanted inside for the year-round farmer's market. Winter growing comes with it's own set of challenges but it sure is a fabulous thing having fresh picked greens in the coldest of months.
